The Papua Freedom Flotilla has completed the first stage of it’s journey by travelling from Lake Eyre in the south of Australia up north to Cairns in north-eastern Queensland.
The aim of the Flotilla is to let the world know about human rights abuses in Papua and now it’s members are preparing two yachts in Cairns harbour to sail across the Torres Strait to West Papua.
Among the crew will be Amos Wainggai who came to Australia as a Papuan refugee.
Phil Kafcaloudes asked him if he was concerned about what could happen to him when he returns to his homeland.
